Masako Takami-Sensei

Masako Takami is the Owner of Stone Academy Japan (LaStone Therapy Japan) . She oversees Japan and all of the Asian countries for stone therapy education.

In 2003 she traveled to Tucson, Arizona and attended her first of dozens of workshops with Mary Nelson. Later that same year Masako arranged for Mary Nelson to travel to Japan and teach two LaStone therapy workshops to Japanese body therapists. At that time Masako began her career as a LaStone Instructor and hosted Mary Nelson many times over the next eleven years in different cities throughout Japan.

Over the years she has contributed significantly to the developments of various stone methodologies to ensure that the status of Stone Academy Japan (LaStone Therapy Japan) operates at the highest level of professionalism and offers all of the main stone courses that have been created in the last twenty four years. In 2006 she began her studies with Jenny Ray and was certified as an instructor for Stone Medicine in 2008. This opened up more opportunities for all of the Asian body therapists to study with Masako and her team to incorporate traditional Native American philosophies within their body treatments and life style.

Masako works tirelessly and graciously, often behind the scenes, to bring harmony to all of her responsibilities within Stone Academy Japan (LaStone Therapy Japan). She is an outstanding leader and is recognized as such by all who have the opportunity to know her. Her guidance has led to many new projects and stronger success of individuals in the circles she walks within. She has certified more Master Stone Therapist than in any other country combined; something Mary Nelson is deeply grateful for and hopes that Masako is a symbol to other stone instructors to strive towards.
